Stephanie Hornig is a furniture and material designer originally from Austria, currently based in Zurich, Switzerland. She studied Product Design in Milan and graduated from the University of the Arts in Berlin in 2012. Her career includes collaborations with leading design studios, global brands, and artisans. She also gained valuable experience as Designer in Residence at the Design Museum London under the mentorship of renowned designer Jasper Morrison, where she refined her approach to functional and minimalist design.

Early in her career, she worked with Patricia Urquiola in Milan, where she discovered her passion for furniture and upholstery, inspiring her to design the nomadic furniture collection ‘Camp.’ She later joined Barber & Osgerby in London, contributing to projects for brands like Vitra, Knoll, and B&B Italia. From 2016, she worked at Tom Dixon, designing both core furniture collections and custom pieces for interior projects, including collaborations such as ‘Delaktig’ with Ikea.

Most recently, Stephanie worked as a Color & Material designer at On Running, collaborating with figures such as Roger Federer. She developed innovative material concepts and color palettes, integrating functionality with contemporary design across multiple projects. Her work is driven by observing everyday interactions, applying cutting-edge materials, and creating timeless yet functional designs.
